Problem
Using the latest VLC installation (at the date of this writing, this is 1.1.4), I don't hear any sound on my DreamBox, when streaming via HTTP.
All lines in /etc/tuxbox/config/vlcf.xml on my DreamBox contain Audiotranscode="1" but still, there's no sound.
Solution
The only working solution for me was to use an older installation of VLC on my computer (not on my DreamBox). I am using VLC 1.0.0, downloaded from http://www.videolan.org/vlc/. But be careful: As there have been a lot of fixes to VLC since that version, you really should not use this installation for any potentially insecure files.

Mit der aktuellsten Version von VLC (zum Zeitpunkt des Schreibens 1.1.4) höre ich keinen Ton, wenn ich Videos via HTTP an meine DreamBox streame.
Alle Zeilen in /etc/tuxbox/config/vlcf.xml auf meiner DreamBox enthalten Audiotranscode="1", dennoch höre ich nichts.
Lösung
Die einzige funktionierende Lösung ist das Verwenden einer alten VLC-Installation auf meinem Computer (nicht auf der DreamBox). Ich benutze momentan 1.0.0, heruntergeladen von http://www.videolan.org/vlc/. Vorsicht: Nachdem es eine Menge an Fixes für VLC gegeben hat, sollte diese alte Version wirklich nicht für potenziell bösartige Inhalte verwendet werden.
