Another song about the Lord of the Rings. This time, I focussed on the main task: The Ring. And as The Ring shall be destroyed in the fires of Orodruin, Johnny Cash’s Ring of Fire
was a perfect inspiration for this one; although I like the H-Blockx version more than the original.
I imagine this song sung by Gandalf The Gray in Bag End in a private session for Frodo.
Lyrics
Sauron's a guy who's mean And he made a fiery Ring Bound by one desire — Still it wound up in the Shire. Cast it into The Burning Hill of Fire. Throw it down, down, down, deny desire, Let it burn, burn, burn, The Ring in fire, The Ring in fire. It fell into a river near the Shire, it went down, down, down, and Gollum's it admired. It was found, found, found and spread desire, and spread desire. The taste of power is sweet And Men, they long for it. They fell for it like a child and then The Ring got wild. Cast it into The Burning Hill of Fire. Throw it down, down, down despite desire, Let it burn, burn, burn, The Ring in fire, The Ring of fire. Far from the Shire It fell into a river near the Shire, it went down, down, down, and Gollum's it admired. It was found, found, found and spread desire, and spread desire. Have it burn, burn, burn, The Ring in Fire, The Ring in Fire. (fade out)
